So, CBTP released four really good songs that were set to be
on a new album. Then they broke up. Then they got back together. Then they
released this song, called Lil Bowotami.
We up to speed? Ok.
Now. WTF am I listening to?
It starts off like a NES version of the Ting Tings, frolics
through some kind of bizarre 8bit pop carnival, then explodes into an actual
punk-related song at 00.50 seconds. Then there’s some (presumably fake)
trumpets and a hook from an older song.
Is this what happens when bands stop giving a fuck? Is this
the future of progressive easycore? I think I like it!? Who is Damien Botami
anyway? I have so many questions…
THIS SONG IS PRICELESS ALAN!
ReplyDeleteI have so many questions too..haha
Haha I know, right? How 6 people could agree on this madness I'll never know. 6 French people no less. Mad as a bag of spiders.
ReplyDeleteWhat are your questions dudes?
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued about the songwriting process!
DeleteHow does your songwriter pitch a song like this? "So I think it should start off 8 bit style, with a sing song rap type part, then it transforms into a sweet pop punk song, then we add trumpets, then..." etc
Is that a real trumpet? Who is this Damian guy and what are the lyrics about? This is turning into an interview...
Yo, Quentin, lets do an interview!
With pleasure alan!! ;)
